Advantages of the method
Construction of new power plants with the commissioning of the power units of large capacity requires mandatory implementation of quality pre-launch cleanings of equipment of water-steam path.
So far, the design of new thermal power plants still provides water-chemical technology (WCC) of pre-launch cleaning of heat and power equipment that is unreasonable at the present level of power engineering development, because:
- the use of WCC significantly increases the cost of power plant and the period of its construction in connection with the need of design and construction of complex schemes of cleaning with pipes and chemical washing pumps of large capacity, a special reagent tank farm with corrosion protection for storage and preparation of chemical reagents and equipment for the neutralization and disposal of large amounts of reagent-contaminated water;
- the use of WCC does not meet the modern reliability requirements of heating surfaces of boiler pipes due to the low passivating ability of protective magnetite film obtained during WCC.
In contrast to WCC application of SWOCP allows to:
- significantly reduce the cost of building and construction, cost of materials and equipment, since cleaning and passivation is maintained mostly trough existing scheme of steam-water circuit and power equipment;
- accelerate putting the power unit into operation by up to 30 days;
- greatly reduce the duration of treatment, the consumption of fuel oil, the need for desalted water, using special techniques and technological know-how;
- reduce the time of putting the power unit into operation as well as total costs, since the implementation of SWOCP is combined with the first launch and conduction of a standard technological operation of steam testing of the boiler;
- ensure commissioning and trouble-free operation of power unit due to the quality cleaning of heating surfaces to regulatory residual contamination, the effective scavenging of primary and secondary superheaters, as well as main steam lines using the control with a special polished mirror;
- create primary high resistance oxide protective film on a processed metal surface, which greatly increases the reliability of the boiler heating surfaces during the subsequent operation;
- completely eliminate chemical agents during the cleaning and passivation and, therefore, exclude large amounts of contaminated acid waste and the cost of its neutralization. The role of the solvent contamination play water, steam and steam-water mixture with the additive chemical agent oxygen gas;
- dispense with the conservation of heating surfaces with chemical reagents, nitrogen and air, while stopping the power unit with the long downtime of more than one year;
- keep the boiler heating surfaces clean with high quality passivating protective film, in case of regular conduction of operational SWOCP (once in 1.52 years) using existing scheme at a start-up of power unit at 1530% capacity (the technology can be implemented by the power plant staff).
